Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after that period of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet saved four early opportunities in a tight third set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
